Join R2K Western Cape’s 2014 provincial summit
The R2K Western Cape invites all supporters to join our 2014 provincial summit on 22 February 2014.
The provincial summit looks at the progress made by R2K in the province in the past year on the four legs of the Campaign, and plans the way forward for 2014:
• Challenging secrecy in law & practice (including the Secrecy Bill, National Key Points and others)
• Promoting access to information in community struggles
• Fighting for media freedom and media diversity – for all
• Defending the rights of whistleblowers
The Summit will also elect our new provincial leadership, and prepare for the upcoming National Summit, which is R2K’s highest decision-making platform.
Venue: Imam Haron Hall, Community House, 41 Salt River Rd.
Time: 9.30am-4pm, Saturday 22 February

We ask that interested organisations send up to two members to attend; individual supporters are also welcome.
The summit is open to all supporters of the R2K and all participants will be eligible to vote and stand for election.
We have limited funds for travel so please indicate if you require us to pay your travel and we will confirm whether we can do so by Friday 21 Feb at 11am.
